Poor little Lou has STREP THROAT. She has had an off and on fever for about a week now. Friday she came home from school with a fever again. I gave her some Advil and had her lie down. She slept a lot of the afternoon, but the fever went away. Saturday morning she woke up with a fever again. Russ gave her Tylenol about 4 a.m. and her fever was gone when she got up later that morning. However, later that day at Grant's football game in Mesquite, it came back. I was at work and didn't know all that was going on. When they got home, all I had to do was look at her, and I knew she had strep. She was miserable. We went to instacare. We had an hour wait. So, I decided to take Gracie home and wait there. She started crying because she wanted to go to Garrett's football game. So, I bundled her up and we went to the game for a few minutes. We went back to instacare, had her tonsils swabbed, and got a prescription for some antibiotics. Because it was so late, we had to fill her prescription at the Walgreens across town (they are open 24 hours). Guess what, we had never filled a prescription there; and guess who still doesn't have insurance cards because they were stolen!!! It turned out fine, just another big hassle.
Yesterday, I didn't have to go to Relief Society because someone had to stay home from church with Gracie. Ahhh, poor me. Of course, I volunteered and jumped up and down with excitement at the prospect. Don't get me wrong, I love going to church... I just miss being in Primary. Now today, I am having to miss work to be home with Gracie. Again, poor me. I am so excited to get caught up on laundry, school stuff, blogs, and sleep. Sounds exciting, I know.

Not to mention, getting to go to lunch with your husband at fabulous Jimmy John's!! Fun to see you guys there. JJ's has become our favorite Monday lunch place and I think it's all because you invited us there one day. Thanks for that. Poor little Gracie, she sure wasn't her happy, talkative self today but no fever, so I think that's a good sign. I hope you get lots accomplished today, then you can return to work with a smile on your face...well maybe.
Yuck!!! Strep throat is awful. I hate it more than anything. Good thing those antibiotics kick in quickly. You'll be back to your routine in 24 hours! I love how she's all miserable but still wants to go to the game. What a great sister
I wish one of MY kids would get strep....I want a few days off too! :)
Unfortunately for you she seemed just a perky and cheerful as ever this morning!...I guess that means its back to work huh?
I do feel sorry for little Gracie. However, for moms sometimes it's a wonderful thing to "have" to stay home, get caught up on things, and us moms not have to be sick. I hope she feels better and that you got a little rest and caught up on a few things!
