Yesterday, Sunset Elementary held the first awards assembly of the year. Three awards are given out: Excellence in Math, Excellence in Reading, and Excellence in Kindness. Gracie received the Excellence in Kindness award. This is the most coveted award of the three because the recipients of the Kindness Award get to eat lunch with the principal, Mr. Esplin. On Monday, Gracie will have lunch with Mr. Esplin and she is VERY excited about it.
Gracie truly is such a kind little girl. She loves everyone and makes everyone feel like they are her very best friend. She finds the best in every person and makes a new friend where ever she goes. I cannot say enough about this sweet little girl. She lives the words of the Primary song, Kindness begins with me:
