Tournament Champs

Garrett had a baseball tournament this weekend. Garrett played really well. He has been moved in the batting order to lead-off batter. He has been working very hard on his batting this season. He works with a hitting coach once a week, and Russ and I take him batting twice each week. He has made some great progress and we saw the fruits of his labor this weekend. They played in four games on Saturday. Their first game was at 11:00 in the morning. They played a team of 15 year old boys that were two heads bigger than any boy on our team. It was just a practice game, but our boys hung with them pretty well. They lost by 3 runs. Their second game was at 3:00 p.m., which they won 22-5. Their third game was at 5:00 p.m., which they won 20-5. That put the boys in the championship game. That game started at 9:30 p.m. They won the championship game 19-4. It was a REALLY LONG day. The boys were exhausted as we left the baseball fields at 11:45 p.m., but they all had huge smiles on their faces and huge trophies in their hands.

Good Job HYDE!
He looks so cute out there! We are so proud of him and his team...they deserve to be the CHAMPS.
Sorry we couldn't be there...but I guess if we would have come they would have lost anyway and then this post would not exist! :)
Love you all!

Good Job Garrett! I love it when kids work really hard at something and then all their hard work pays off! That is so awesome! Way to go!
