Well it has happened. We got our first note sent home from school for bad behavior. I was devastated. Grant and a few of his buddies we using the phrase "son of a nutcracker" as they tried to actually crack each others nuts... if you know what I mean. I was so embarrassed. I sat Grant down and we had a long talk about the seriousness of such behavior. I took away his DS for two weeks and assigned him some extra chores. Then Russ got home from work...
We were back in the bedroom and I told him about the note from Grant's teacher. The man seriously could not stop laughing for 20 minutes. All night long I had to listen to NUTTY phrases from him. I swear, I don't think boys ever grow up!

I can't imagine Grant getting a note sent home...he's such a good boy. But I guess if this is as bad as it gets, we'll be in good shape. Apparently his dad isn't too worried.
Oh Kori, I am so sorry. I feel totally responsible for this...I don't even know what to say...this is like the whole "truck" incident all over again only I was trying to corrupt the wrong kid.
I guess the girls didn't really explain to the boys what a nutcracker was...you know, now that I think of it, I did have this small feeling that I should explain it to them, but then I was like...oh well, they probably know.
Really, I am so so sorry.
uh, so when do you want us to come back?
Kellie-
You can come back anytime. We do not hold you accountable for this by any means. He is a boy... it is all good. Believe me, Russ got a good abdominal workout out of it with all of that laughing.
That sounds like something my husband and his dad would do. The are grown men and are always "cracking nuts". It is a boy thing, then a guy thing and then a man thing. Nut crackin is here to stay!
I asked Gavin if he was involved and if he was sent home with a note. He wasn't but it sure gave him some ideas! SHOOT!
Thanks...that doesn't give me much hope.
