Yesterday, Scout Master Russ took the 12-13 year old scouts tubing at Brianhead ski resort. I was scheduled to work so Russ took Grant and Gracie with him. The night before we realized we have lived in the desert for the past 7 years. We own NO winter gear. Our children were going to freeze. I called my neighbor who has children the same age as Grant and Gracie, and luckily she was able to hook us up with bibs, boots, jackets, gloves, hats, etc. THANKS JILL! Anyway, Grant and Gracie had a blast. Gracie said, "I didn't like it... I LOVED IT". Grant said, "It was pretty much the best day of my life". I am glad they had the chance to go. Unfortunately, Garrett missed out on the fun because he was finishing up his Arrow of Light requirements for scouts. We are planning on taking him tubing at Brianhead for his birthday in two weeks. Want to come along?!

Yes, sign us up. I got the number for reservations. All the kids look so cute in all their "gear", I'm so glad they had such a great time.

Kyle took the scouts snowboarding and is still in pain. I wonder why they did not do something fun like tubing. The kids and I were going to go up and tube that day but I lost my gumption and decided to stay home and watch tv all day. Needless to say they did not think that was the best day of their lives. I wanna come!! It's crazy to me that Preston and Ava have never seen snow. Preston was just a baby when we left the frozen tundra of Utah. I love the comment you left me about the cow poop smell-it made me lol !!
I wanna come too! I love tubing! But we don't have any winter gear either...After 7 years in Vegas I am just now missing the snow! You guys looked like you had so much fun! I know my boys will always remember the first time we went tubing! Good times!

I am glad that Gracie and Grant had so much fun. Anytime you want to borrow the snow clothes, you are more than welcome to them. They don't get used very much and we are going to outgrow them before they get put to good use.
