During the first week of school, Grant had casually mentioned to me that he wanted to try out for the school choir. We talked about the time commitment... he would have to be to school an hour early, three days a week. We talked about dedication... if he was chosen, he had to stick with it all year, no changing his mind a month later. We talked about conflicts of schedules... he was already playing football. The coaches wouldn't appreciate him missing practices/games for performances, and Mr. Payne wouldn't appreciate missing performances for sporting events. I really didn't give the idea much more thought. When I was in Detroit last month, he tried out and was picked to be a member of Sunset Express. He was very excited, and of course that makes me so happy. However, I was a little nervous. He is my one child that has a hard time getting up in the morning. But, he loves being in the choir. Every morning when I go in his room to wake him up, he jumps right up out of bed and gets ready.

How cute!! I was going to mention that Garrett was right in front of the mic today in the primary program....and I couldn't help but notice that he has a great voice also. Could get him to join the Sunset Express, huh?
That Grant is just about the cutest kid in the world! He was so darling in the Primary Program today, he made me cry a little. I'm so proud of him for trying out for Sunset Express all by himself, he's such a good little boy. Hey Kori, this would be a great week for you to begin a Sunday Six...Number One could be...The Primary Program is OVER!! Wonderful job!!
Grant is such a great kid, a very talented one too! It looks like he is really having a great time in those pictures!
Ok, now that is the SWEETEST thing that I have ever seen. Grant is adorable. Sorry, I mean, super cool. That is so great! He looks like he is having the time of his life.
I love his determined point at the audience!! Very energetic and enthusiastic! Grant is a great kid...One of my favorites!!
Wish we could have gone to see him...he looks real cute!
Hopefully after the next three-four weeks our lives will be calm enough and we can all get together and PLAY!! Good luck with the up and coming OLD PEOPLE GAMES...let me know if you need anything!...well after this week anyway! :)
Grant is so adorable! I love your boys. They are always so sweet when Russ brings them home teaching.
Speaking of...Those treats are so yummy!! Russ said he didn't make them, so I can only assume you did...thanks! I'll have to eat them all tonight so they're out of my system before saturday:).
Grant is into singing, too. What determination and talents he is using. I hope I get to hear him at one of his programs. Your children are all exhibiting wonderful attributes. Isn't it fun!
That is so awesome!! I remember Jonathan used to love to sing and auditioned for "Camerata Choir" in 5th grade and made it! Now he will never sing unless its a song on the radio......
