We've acquired a new bunny. The kids are so excited. The parents... well, it's a rabbit. One of Grant's friends, Corby, had a few bunnies. He wanted a new dog. Corby's parents told him he couldn't get a dog because he had bunnies. So, he gave away his bunnies. We were the lucky recipients of Floppy. I am not sure why, but I had pictured in my mind a little, baby bunny, cute and cuddly. Floppy is huge, fast, and naughty. Floppy escapes every night. Our yard is not completely fenced in and the bunny likes to roam the neighborhood. Lucky for Russ and I, he comes back every morning. This morning he was in Russ' garden, actually eating Russ' home grown carrots. I am just expecting to wake up one morning and find Floppy fur-less. I understand rabbit fur is good fly-tying material. I also heard this morning, after Floppy was found in Russ' garden, that rabbits are good eatin'... taste like chicken.

You crack me up!
This is the cutest bunny I have ever seen! I wish him a long and healthy life....but I don't know, that whole "eating the carrots in the garden" thing makes his life questionable.
Ask Russ about the rabbits we had in our back yard. Not a pretty picture. Maybe he didn't notice but the kids always hated to find their pet rabbit gone. And the neighbors were glad when they finally all disappeared. That and the pigeons:}
Congratulations on your new pet. Consider it food storage.
Mindy,
That was such a funny comment that I am changing the title of my post! You are too funny.
How fun a rabbit for a pet! Your life just got even busier. The boys think he is so cute. I remember my brother had a huge pet rabbit that always escaped from his rabbit hutch. He was a mischevious little thing.
oh-good, i was wondering why i hadn't seen that rabbit in my yard the past few days. have fun!!
I have seen this plump little creature...I bet he'd feed your family for a week...in this great depression we are going thru. :)
I once took rabbit to school and cooked it for my class as a project...it is fine eatin thats for dang sure!!
That is a cute bunny. Eddy would LOVE to play with him, if you know what I mean.
One Easter morning I woke up to find a darling, pure white bunny in my yard, just for me! I named him Snowball. We had so much fun together, Snowball and I! One fateful evening we had "fried chicken" for dinner. I would have eaten my beloved pet had my oh-so-sensitive big brother Richard (Dick)not asked me how I liked the taste of my rabbit! I think if your parents buy you a pet as "food storage" they should let you know right up front!!
that sound's like joe.. i don't know if it's his korean in him or not but he always threatens to cook up our dog maggie!! eww!
They do taste like chicken! LOL!
