My sweet friend Karen tagged me. And since she always comments on my blog, and I don't ever want her to stop... I am going to play along. Thank you Karen for being apart of our lives.
Eight Things I Am Looking Forward To...
1. Newport beach in June!!! I am so in need of a vacation. We get to spend an entire week at the beach with my family, and I cannot wait.
2. Getting Gracie's cast off this Friday. She has done so well on her crutches and really has been a trooper. I am anxious to see if she has healed up.
3. Retirement. Yes, I know that I am not supposed to wish away these years; that I will look back one day and miss this time of my life. But, I am so excited for a time when I will actually have one minute to STOP and actually miss or think about something. Right now we are so crazy busy all of the time, I don't have a second to sit and enjoy it.
4. Home-grown tomatoes. Russ planted our garden a couple of weeks ago and we already have some tomatoes coming. I absolutely love them and I am the only one who eats them... so they are all mine.
5. Book #5 of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I love to read aloud to my children. Especially when it is a good book. We have loved this children's book series. The last book comes out on May 5th. I think I am almost as excited as the kids.
6. Summer vacation for the kids. I know that one week into it I will be looking forward to school starting again, but for now I am ready for school to be out.
7. Russ' 40th birthday on May 7th.
8. Running the Ragnar Relay- Wasatch Back in June.
Eight Things I Did Yesterday...
1. Worked at the hospital from 8 - 2:30
2. Studied for my final
3. Tried to take a cat nap- but Gracie would have nothing to do with that idea
4. Studied some more
5. Went to the adult session of stake conference and thouroughly enjoyed the talks given by President Brett Christiansen and his wife Susan. They spoke about families and marriage and it was fabulous.
6. Went to Artic Circle with three other couples for ice cream cones. (Tried to go to Marv's, but they were closed... Artic Circle was our only other option).
7. Took my final. Hooray- I am done with one more class.
8. Took a long, hot bath.
Eight Things I Wish I Could Do...
1. Resist Sugar
2. Quilt/sew
3. Cook
4. Say NO
5. Photoshop
6. Speak Spanish
7. Sit still
8. Get organized
Eight TV Shows I Watch...
I don't watch TV except for an occasional ball game that is important enough to be crammed into a schedule. I know I am so boring and really need to get a life. I always feel so lame when people are talking about certain shows and I don't know anything about them. It is not that I have any type of feeling about TV watching... it is just that I have very active kids and I am very active in their lives. Right now we are seriously at the baseball fields 6 days each week. We also have Scouts, callings/meetings, school, homework for me and the kids, cleaning, LAUNDRY, etc. Someday I will be cool and know what is going on in the entertainment world.

This was so much fun to read Kori, I knew most of it but some I didn't, and so I enjoyed the new things. Especially I'm happy that you finished your class and that your final is behind you. Good Job!! You really DO have a crazy life, I don't know how you keep up with it all but you do a wonderful job and I'm so impressed. We, too, are looking forward to our week at Newport, I think it will be memorable!! I'm at Kaci's right now, I hope you have a fun week, Dad said Garrett's game was fun!
I really like these tags...they seem annoying at first but then the fun comes in reading others and learning more about people you have been beside your whole life!
I too can't wait for the cast to come off!! It stinks a little and pieces of it are left in every room??
Thanks for sharing about your motherhood example, hard working habbits and your amazing talents!
Love you!
Awesome that you did your tagging assignment. I have been waiting because both Raleigh and I got tagged as you know and I wanted to give him a chance... but you and I both knew he would gracefully decline huh??... COWARD. Anyway, yours was very fun to read and I continue to be proud of you. See you soon. Come lay out with me and my belly??
Hi,
I saw you're running in the Wasatch Back in June. I just wanted to mention Operation Kids is the official charity of Ragnar. 100% of all donations will go to Best Buddies in Utah.
Each team who raises $360 will receive a Best Buddies "I See You" bracelet with their race packet on race day, and will achieve the Ragnar Raiser distinction. That will allow 12 Best Buddies pairs to participate in the 5k walk/run next spring.
Each team who raises $4,500 will receive the Best Buddies bracelet, enable 12 Best Buddies pairs to participate in the walk/run and will provide the seed funding to open a school chapter, as well as achieving Ragnar Life Changer status.
The team who raises the most money for Best Buddies will receive a voucher for a team entry into any Ragnar Relay in the next 12 months (including Wasatch Back 2010).
You can donate at https://www.operationkids.org/ragnar_donate/.
We hope your team has a blast out there and feel free to stop by Operation Kids booths at the race.
We’ll see you out there!
